Relationship Contract

This weeks topic - relationship contracts! Sound strange? I found an article online written by a guy who thinks that relationships would be easier if each party were to sign a contract before getting involved.

What do you think?

Would a contract be a way of explaining to the other person the things that we find important in relationships? Or would it be something that makes the relationship seem more like a job then a fun experience?

How to talk to Men...

I'm sure that's something everyone wants to know.

Last night, Miss Lisa and Miss Laura aired a lot of their own dirt on the topic. We went through the top things not to say to men, and of course we gave you the reasons why. We even talked about why women have a tendancy to say the things they do to men - those very things that get us in trouble.

Are you like Miss Lisa and Miss Laura, where we meet up with our boy and start right away with talking his ear off? Miss Laura had a little more luck and has talked up boys who listen. Miss Lisa on the other hand explained how she sometimes ends up with the "yeah, uh-huh, right, yeah" and no retention from the boy.

Our advice - start with the punch line. Don't give any details. "So, I saw your boy Bob today with someone." Leave it at that. Most likely he'll want to know more. "Oh yeah? Where at? Who was he with?"

And for the instances where he doesn't ask more details and you're itching to get it out - give it a bit and we give you full permission to talk talk talk! Just remember if he's playing video games or watching TV he's probly not even hearing the punch line (I know I wouldn't!! I turn into a deaf zombie while playing video games or watching TV!)

Last nights show was interesting! I've been hearing all this discussion about marriage and settling (even when talking about dating). Is marriage more important to you than love? I should hope not! For some people it might be, others feel that love is more important than marriage. Whatever makes you happy right? You don't want to be too picky, but you also don't want to settle for something (or someone) that's going to make you unhappy.

Now the trick is to figure out what it is that will make us happy.

This week the crew talked about the best and worst costume ideas. Also giving out their own dirt on past Halloween ventures including tips and hints for successful costumes.

- Boxy costumes are great, unless your trying to get in and out of a subway.
- Although sexy costumes are great to look at – it’s just not the Halloween spirit. Be creative at least!
- Be original, funny or scary!
- A good costume doesn’t necessarily require a lot of time, money or effort
- If you get into your “character” people will enjoy your costume more

Suggestions submitted by listeners and found online:

Cowboy and Saloon Girl:
He wears jeans, cowboy shirt, bandana, boots, hat, holster and gun. She wears a knee-high dress, with a lacy slip underneath and high heeled boots. One or both carries a bottle of liquor.

Zorro and a Senorita:
He wears a black shirt, black pants, black shoes, black cape, black mask, and carries a fencing sword. She wears a ruffled dress and a headpiece with a lace veil.

Butterfly and Butterfly Catcher:
She dresses as a butterfly and he dresses as a butterfly catcher (khaki shirt and shorts, safari hat, boots, and a butterfly net).

Cardiac Arrest:
She dresses up as a big red heart (cut out of cardboard or cloth) and wears handcuffs. He dresses like a cop.

Jack and Jill:
Get two t-shirts and write JACK and JILL on the backs of each. Jack can wear a broken crown and have lots of blood coming from his head. Jill should have lots of bruises from tumbling after, bruised face and bloody lips. They can both carry around tin pails of water!

Pirate and Treasure Chest:
He dresses as the pirate. She wears a gold shirt, and attaches gold, silver, and pearl beads, and gold and silver chocolate coins to chest area.

Dutch Oven by Jon LC:
This could be for a couple or a single person (for the single you’ll have to use a blowup doll). Wear PJs and pin a sheet to one person with the other half of the sheet over the head of the other person (or blowup doll).
